As a Man Thinketh

As a Man Thinketh is a literary work of James Allen, published in 1902. The title is influenced by a verse in the Bible from the Book of Proverbs chapter 23 verse 7, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.”

This is a short book available for free on the internet.
There are so many great passages from this book.
Here are some

"
A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.

"Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results. Bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results. This is but saying that nothing can come from corn but corn, nothing from nettles but nettles."

It is a great Sunday read!

Tisha, I have had this book for a long time- I also found "Heavenly Life" by James Allen- which is a rare one of his- I found it in an old book store- it is very vintage- I really like what James Allen has to say-

Here is one of many favorite quotes from Heavenly Life:

"At the center of man's being is the Music which orders the stars--the Eternal Harmony. He who would find blessedness, let him find himself; let him abandon every discordant desire, every inharmonious thought, every unlovely habit and deed, and he will find that Grace and Beauty and Harmony which form the indestrctible essence of his own being." pg 14
