CPR

David and I went to a CPR training course put on free by a local hospital. Even though I am certified and "should" know everything, I learned a couple new things. I have taken multiple CPR/First Aid courses ever since I was 14 years old. Every time I get re-certified I learn something new. This time I learned that if you don't feel comfortable giving the rescue breaths (do to AIDS, HIV, HEP C) when performing CPR, then you should just do the compressions because that will keep the blood pumping to all the vital organs. If you haven't taken a CPR/First Aid class recently check out the classes offered by your community. You never know when a family member, friend, neighbor, or a co-worker will need CPR/First Aid! (I will get off my soapbox .... now!)

Albie's Deal!

I am learning the couponing ways from Marne and Tiff. Today I got a great deal on cereal. I went to Winco and bought 3 newspapers! I took all my coupons and my doubling coupons. I ended up with 12 boxes of cereal and I paid only $3.62 and I have a $5.00 coupon the next time I go to Albertsons. It was quit the ordeal the cashier that check me out was new and had lots of problems, so other cashiers were helping him. The cashiers were amazed at what a good deal I got, and that they had never seen such a great deal before! ...my last transaction was only $0.87.

Parent Teacher Conference

Wednesday and Thursday night from 5- 8 pm after school I had parent teacher conferences. It has a been a long two days of work and really nothing but work. It is tiring working 13 hour days, but it is so worth it. After parent teacher conferences I feel rejuvenated and more determined to be a good teacher. I love visiting with the parents, I feel that afterward I can understand that individual student better. So... even if you child is a straight A student you should still go to parent teacher conferences for two reasons: 1. Even if your child has a good grades it doesn't = good behavior! 2. It re-motivates the teachers to do a good job!

Chairs

The other day David and I went to the Idaho Youth Ranch Thrift Store. We both found a chair. David found an office chair ($6.75) for our computer area. I found an antique chair for our front room ($18). I love it by the way! David somehow manage to get both chairs into our small car and both of us! I was thoroughly amazed at his tetris skills - hence the pictures.

David's and Diana's favorite bands was playing at the Venue. We all had a great time. While we were standing in line it started pouring! We were all soaked and freezing cold. My shirt didn't dry until the end of the concert which was 3 hours later.

FYI - IHOP

February 24, 2009 7 a.m. - 10p.m.

Known also as Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, National Pancake Day dates back several centuries to when the English prepped for fasting during Lent. Strict rules prohibited the eating of all dairy products during Lent, so pancakes were made to use up the supply of eggs, milk, butter and other dairy products…hence the name Pancake Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday.

Since beginning its National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly two million dollars to support charities in the communities in which it operates. With your help, we hope to raise $1,000,000 for Children’s Miracle Network in 2009!

I still know how to crochet! Here is proof!
I am trying out possibly a new hobby: beading. I made this necklace last night. I am slowly getting more beads, tools, and thread. I will keep you posted on my next creation.
